Scrum through practice

The Scrum approach is an implementation of Agile values applied specifically to product development. This approach is one of the most used and certainly the one that generates the most interest. It proposes a limited set of organizational practices and simple rules.

When practiced with discipline and courage, Scrum can significantly increase the productivity of teams, almost instantly. The “Scrum by Practice” course quickly immerses you in the world of Scrum.

It is presented in the form of practical workshops that simulate the reality of a project carried out using Scrum. This course is ideal for private corporate sessions.

Objectives

  • Experience the different Scrum ceremonies in a concrete way.

  • Produce all the artifacts related to this approach while being accompanied at each step by an expert who has actively participated in the implementation of Scrum in teams.

  • Experiment with Scrum in the context of a red thread exercise (3 possible exercises among the following options in order to recreate more faithfully the context of your company).
    • Paper prototyping: participants will develop a website on paper
    • Building a city in LEGO®.
    • Creation of a video game.

Agile approaches and introduction to Scrum :
– The Agile Manifesto
– Agile principles
– The 4 pillars of Scrum
– The Scrum development cycle


Plan and start with a Sprint 0:
– Definition of roles
– Scheduling the product backlog
– Writing user stories


Start the first sprint:
– Planning a sprint
– Determining the conditions for success
– Keeping the daily scrum
– Sprint review and retrospective


Continued development and improvement
continues:
– Velocity
– The sprint burndown chart
– The Refinement Backlog
