Professional Scrum Product Owner™️ – Advanced

Professional Product Owner™️ – Advanced (PSPO-A), aims to help experienced practitioners develop their ability to establish a solid vision, validate their hypotheses and bring more value to their stakeholders. The PSPO-A course is designed for Product Owners who wish to develop their knowledge and skills.
The course goes beyond the topics covered in the PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner™️) course by deepening the participant’s understanding of the role by exploring the many postures of a professional product owner. This course is an interactive, experiential workshop in which participants explore topics through a series of exercises and discussions. Students must have at least one year of experience as a Product Owner and a working knowledge of Scrum to participate in and benefit from these exercises.
The role of the Product Owner is multiple, it forces the practitioner to adopt behaviors and mentalities beyond Agility and the Scrum framework. This course highlights these behaviors by challenging the participant to adopt different Product Owner postures:
- Customer representative – focused on understanding customer issues, challenges and potential opportunities
- Visionary – communicating the vision, future state, and possibilities in a way that promotes common understanding
- Experimenter – focusing on innovation, hypothesis testing and validation of potential value to drive product innovation
- Influencer – communicating with stakeholders, customers, and the Scrum Team and getting them to act on a common goal
- Collaborator – seeking information, ideas and feedback
- Decision maker – focus on creating maximum impact by making clear choices
Objectives
- Identify and adopt the different postures of the Product Owner in order to meet the daily challenges
- Understand the Vision-Value-Validation model to create a competitive advantage for their products
- Identify the different types of stakeholders and how to best work with them
- Create a list of complementary practices that will be useful in their context to better serve various stakeholder groups
